Strategic Materials

The strategic goods division trades the commodities that governments and large buyers treat as security-critical: grain, protein, sugar, oil and salt.

Grain and pulses form the core — wheat, barley, rice, flour, pasta, sesame, beans, lentils and legumes — alongside tea, coffee, nuts and chocolate. The division also handles meat, fish, poultry and live animals, sugar, edible oil and salt, together with dairy products and their derivatives, fresh, canned and dried foodstuffs.
